High Current MOSFETs – the next level

High Power applications are becoming ever more demanding, resulting in larger current requirements. With higher current comes less margin for errors in protection circuit design. In turn, becoming critical that designers makes the right MOSFET selection for the application.

Join Stein as he takes Nexperia’s high continuous current one step further by demonstrating how LFPAK88 can reliably conduct and switch high currents.

  1. Is it possible to control/bias the gate with a linear voltage if you want a specific drain – source current to flow, for example 0-10 Amp at 24V fixed drain voltage?

  2. What is that copper contraption that the mosfet is mounted on? Because I assume that the little legs cannot handle such high currents right? So the 300 amps is going through the copper pieces. Is this available for purchase or is there some documentation on measurements at least?
