  2. For those of us, who’s better half will not let us buy one of the vacuum de solder irons. I have found a great trick for using solder wick. Put a little bit of flux paste on the joint you are desoldering and the solder wick will suck it right up in a second or two so that you don’t get the joint too hot. Clean it good with alcohol when you’re finished.
